Henōhea is built on the values of 'ohana and the deep history of our home. January 30th, we are pausing our operations to stand for the safety and dignity of our community. This is deeply personal for us. We are a family of Sakada immigrant descendants, Native Americans, and Native Hawaiians whose roots in this land go back generations before Hawai’i was part of the United States. While we believe in the rule of law, we cannot remain silent in the face of federal misconduct and the senseless loss of lives that we are seeing across our nation. It is heartbreaking to see our own family members, who are here legally and following every law, targeted and living in an atmosphere of fear due to this overreach of power. This fear is echoing in communities across the country, and we believe our keiki deserve better than a world defined by this division. January 30th, we choose to stand for accountability and the protection of the innocent. Mahalo for your understanding and for standing with us. We will resume operations on January 31st.
